Turkish banks integrate ChatGPT for digital services

Turkish financial institutions are integrating generative artificial intelligence into their digital services. Türk Ekonomi Bankası (TEB) has implemented ChatGPT integration, allowing users to inquire about the bank’s products and services using natural, conversational language. Yeşim Aktaş Budakoğlu, TEB’s Group Director of Digital Banking and Payment Systems, stated that this move aims to move beyond complex menus to provide a more intuitive digital experience.

Similarly, Türkiye Kalkınma ve Yatırım Bankası (TKYB) has launched a ChatGPT integration based on the Model Context Protocol (MCP). This allows users to connect the bank’s application via the ChatGPT extensions menu. By using the “@Kalkınma Yatırım Bankası” command, customers can access information regarding credit processes and financial solutions through a secure, chat-based interface.
