Turkish banks launch new pension promotion campaigns
Turkish banks have launched updated pension promotion campaigns for September 2026, offering varying cash incentives to retirees who commit to transferring their salaries to their institutions for three years.
Public banks such as Ziraat Bankası, Halkbank, and VakıfBank offer tiered promotions based on monthly income, with standard amounts ranging from 5,000 TL to 12,000 TL. Private institutions are offering higher potential totals through additional conditions. For example, DenizBank and Albaraka Türk offer combined incentives reaching up to 30,000 TL when including bonuses for automatic bill payments and credit card usage. ING Türkiye and Türkiye Finans also feature campaigns with total benefits reaching up to 32,000 TL.
Separately, discussions are ongoing regarding a potential regulatory change for Bağ-Kur insured individuals, specifically small tradespeople and artisans. The proposed model aims to reduce the required premium days for retirement from 9,000 to 7,200, which could provide a five-year advantage for approximately one million people. However, no official legislation has been passed, and the final scope regarding company partners remains uncertain.
