Turkish banks launch competitive loan and promotion campaigns

Turkish banks are engaged in intense competition to attract new customers through various financial incentives, including pensioner promotions, interest-free loan packages, and high-yield deposit accounts.

For retirees, banks are offering cash promotions that can reach up to 35,000 TL. While some banks like Ziraat Bankası provide tiered cash payments based on salary, private institutions such as Şekerbank, ING, and Yapı Kredi offer higher total amounts by requiring additional commitments like automatic bill payments, credit card usage, or insurance products.

To attract new clients, several banks have introduced interest-free financing packages totaling up to 100,000 TL. These packages, offered by Akbank, Garanti BBVA, and DenizBank, typically combine different products such as personal loans, installment cash advances, and overdraft accounts with 0% interest rates for short terms.

Additionally, deposit rates remain a key focus for savers. For a 600,000 TL deposit over 32 days, monthly net returns vary between approximately 15,298 TL and 19,529 TL, with DenizBank and ING currently offering some of the highest rates. Financial experts advise customers to look beyond gross interest rates and focus on the net amount received after all conditions are met.
