Turkish banks unveil record retirement salary promotions for July 2026

Turkey's major banks have announced new retirement salary promotion packages effective July 2026. The offers combine a three‑year salary commitment with extra incentives such as automatic bill‑payment mandates, credit‑card usage, and referral rewards.

Şekerbank leads with a total payout of up to 35,000 TRY, followed by ING Bank (32,000 TRY) and Türkiye Finans (32,000 TRY). Other banks include VakıfBank (30,000 TRY), Garanti BBVA and İş Bankası (both 25,000 TRY), QNB (20,000 TRY), Akbank (15,000 TRY), Kuveyt Türk (14,000 TRY), Ziraat Bankası and Halkbank (each 12,000 TRY). Many institutions also add cash bonuses for setting up automatic bill‑payment instructions, active credit‑card use, or referring relatives to the bank. Akbank, for example, offers up to 20,000 TRY plus interest‑free credit up to 50,000 TRY for eligible retirees. The promotions require retirees to transfer their social security salaries to the participating bank for three years and meet the specific ancillary conditions.
