Turkey announces 2025 tax record holders

The Revenue Administration (GİB) has released the tax record holders for the 2025 taxation period in Turkey, revealing significant increases in both income and corporate tax declarations compared to 2024.

In the personal income tax category, Selçuk Bayraktar, Chairman of the Board of Baykar, remains the top taxpayer for the fifth consecutive year with a tax accrual of approximately 2.99 billion TL. He is followed by Baykar General Manager Haluk Bayraktar and Koç Holding Honorary Chairman Rahmi Koç. Notably, 78 out of the top 100 taxpayers requested to keep their identities private.

In the corporate tax category, Ziraat Bankası emerged as the leader, with a tax accrual of approximately 70.4 billion TL. The banking and finance sectors dominated the list, with VakıfBank and Garanti BBVA also ranking among the top taxpayers. Other notable corporate entries include LC Waikiki, Emin Evim, and Allianz Sigorta.

Geographically, Istanbul remains the primary hub for tax contributions, accounting for the vast majority of the top 100 taxpayers, followed by Ankara and Izmir.
