Turkish billiards prodigy Aşkın Feraye Yılmaz helps team finish fifth at European U19 championships

Eighteen‑year‑old Aşkın Feraye Yılmaz from Denizli won the 2025 Pool Cepli Bilardo Turkey Championship and the overall classification, earning a place on the Turkey A national billiards team. The team, comprising Yılmaz, Ahmet Efekan Karaaslan and Mustafa Alperen Dastan, competed at the Predator European Pool Championships U19 in Slovenia from 14‑23 July.

In the tournament the Turkish squad defeated the Netherlands to reach the quarter‑finals, then faced world champion Estonia and finished the event in fifth place overall. Yılmaz’s disciplined three‑year training regimen and steady performance were praised, and he said he now aims for a European medal and to represent Turkey at world championships. The result is viewed as a milestone for Turkish billiards and a source of pride for Denizli.
