Turkish-British relations exhibition opens in London

The Global Journalists Council (KGK) has launched a historical exhibition in London titled “Pages Opening to Friendship – Turkish-British Relations from Documents to Life.” This event marks the first Turkish exhibition held in London in approximately 175 years since the Ottoman era.

Curated by Dr. Özgenur Reyhan Güler using archives from Prof. Dr. Osman Kubilay Gül, the exhibition explores the historical journey of Turkish-British relations through the lenses of diplomacy, the press, and collective memory. The collection features rare Turkish and British archival documents and newspaper clippings, some dating back 175 years.

Following an initial opening at Arundel House, the exhibition has moved to the Yunus Emre Institute London Center, where it will remain open to visitors for an additional week. Dr. Mehmet Karakuş, Director of the Yunus Emre Institute in London, emphasized the immense historical value of these documents and suggested that the exhibition should be shown in various other cities across the United Kingdom to reach broader audiences.
