Turkish business associations launch new economic development initiatives
Business associations in Turkey have launched new initiatives to support economic development and address industrial challenges.
In Zonguldak, Genç MÜSİAD has commenced its new term with a focus on strengthening commercial activities and fostering a culture of collaborative production. The organization aims to build stronger ties with university students through entrepreneurship programs, experience-sharing initiatives, and social responsibility projects to integrate youth energy into the city’s economic potential.
Meanwhile, İZSİAD has initiated a sector-wide survey to identify structural obstacles facing industrialists. Led by Chairman Alaattin Yüksel, the study aims to compile real-world data on issues such as access to finance, global competitiveness, skilled labor shortages, and raw material supply. The findings will be compiled into a report to facilitate dialogue between the İzmir business community, local governments, and economic policymakers, specifically addressing concerns like liquidity constraints and VAT refund delays.
