Turkish chambers of commerce review municipal construction projects in Ardahan and Konya

In Ardahan, the presidents of the Ardahan Union of Tradesmen and Craftsmen (Asım Özer) and the Ardahan Chamber of Tradesmen and Craftsmen (Candar Yılmaz) inspected ongoing municipal works, met with on‑site coordinators Volkan Gök and Yusuf Ocak, and received detailed updates on progress and completion schedules. They praised the investments as critical for the city’s future, thanked Mayor Faruk Demir and municipal staff for their efforts, and warned residents of temporary traffic disruptions during the construction.

In Konya, the Konya branch of the Craftsmen and Artisans Association (ESDER) and the Karatay Industrial Development Association held a joint press conference to condemn repeated delays in the Konya New Industrial Site and the Karatay Industrial Site. Branch president Latif Işık demanded that promised keys be delivered, citing a history of postponed deadlines, ground‑collapse incidents, zoning and infrastructure problems, and recalling promises made by Minister Murat Kurum and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in 2021. The association highlighted an upcoming draw for 568 workplaces scheduled for 17 February 2026.
