Turkish cities host events for European Mobility Week

Turkish municipalities in Tekirdağ and Ankara held various events to observe European Mobility Week from September 16 to 22, focusing on healthy living and eco-friendly transportation.

In Tekirdağ, the Metropolitan Municipality organized activities including bicycle riding, zumba, aerobic dance, and bicycle repair workshops. Mayor Dr. Candan Yüceer participated in a walk to emphasize the importance of pedestrian mobility. Additionally, a “jogging trash collection” event was held to coincide with World Cleanup Day, where participants collected and sorted waste along their route to promote environmental responsibility.

In Ankara, the Metropolitan Municipality hosted events such as zumba sessions for women's local club members and walking activities at the Atatürk Children's and Natural Life Park. These initiatives aimed to promote the message of “mobility for everyone” and highlight the health benefits of physical activity.
