Turkish cities Konya and Kepez roll out free summer school programs for students
The Konya Metropolitan Municipality, through the LİMA (Lise Medeniyet Akademileri) program, opened registration for a free summer school targeting 9th‑11th grade students. Applications run from 23 – 30 June, offering skill‑based courses, workshops and dedicated preparation for the Yükseköğretim Kurumu Sınavı (YKS) alongside guidance and motivation sessions.
Kepez Municipality in Antalya launched a similar initiative for 178 university‑entrance exam candidates. Under the Yasin Naci Ağaroğlu Education Center, students receive daily mock exams, YKS‑style tests and post‑exam question‑analysis workshops with specialist teachers. The program runs in late June, aiming to reduce exam stress and improve performance ahead of the 2026 YKS.
Both municipalities expect strong interest and view the free programs as an investment in youth development and academic success.
