Turkish cities launch free services for students during exam periods

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality expanded its student‑support programme by opening modern, quiet study rooms in youth centres, providing free soup during exam weeks and arranging a visit by Deputy Mayor Şahin Biba to hear students’ concerns. The initiative aims to improve exam preparation conditions and morale.

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality introduced complimentary public‑transport access for students, accompanying parents and examination staff on the days of the LGS and YKS exams. The scheme, effective from 13 June to 21 June, covers municipal buses, minibuses, the Antray and Nostalgia tram lines across all districts, requiring only a valid exam or staff credential. Both measures seek to reduce logistical stress and support young learners during Turkey’s key national examinations.
