Turkish cities launch new children’s summer parks in Manisa and Sinop

Manisa Büyükşehir Belediyesi opened Fresh Park in Atatürk Kent Park on 29 June. The water‑play area offers fountains, tubes and other splash attractions for children, operating daily in three sessions (12:00‑14:00, 15:00‑17:00, 18:00‑20:00) until the school term resumes on 15 September. Mayor Besim Dutlulu said the park is a “karne hediyesi” meant to give children a memorable summer.

In the Turkish‑li district of Türkeli, Sinop, the renovated Şehit Ömer Halisdemir Children’s Park was inaugurated on the same day. The ceremony was attended by Mayor Veysel Şahin, the district kaymakam and other officials, who highlighted the park’s refurbishment as a gift to students. The upgraded facilities include new play equipment and green spaces, intended to serve families throughout the summer season.
