Turkish clubs eye European internationals Lukebakio and Amrabat

Trabzonspor, fresh from a domestic cup win, have opened negotiations to sign Belgian forward Dodi Lukebakio from Benfica. The Turkish side reportedly offered around €20 million, matching the fee Benfica paid for the player in 2022, and are evaluating the financial feasibility while the winger remains a backup at the Portuguese club. Lukebakio, 28, has featured in 25 league matches for Benfica this season, scoring two goals and providing five assists, and has earned 31 caps for Belgium.

Beşiktaş, under new manager Vincenzo Italiano, are also in talks to acquire Moroccan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat from rival Fenerbahçe. The potential deal could cost roughly €10 million, and Amrabat, 29, is currently on loan at Real Betis but remains under contract with Fenerbahçe until 2028. He has 75 international appearances for Morocco and is considered a key defensive midfield option for the Turkish club, which aims to strengthen its squad ahead of the upcoming league campaign.
