Turkish clubs reshape foreign player rosters ahead of new season

Beşiktaş is preparing its 2024‑25 squad under technical director Vincenzo Italiano and plans to release several foreign players to meet the Süper Lig's 10+4 foreign‑player rule. Players such as Al‑Musrati, Jean Onana, João Mario, Milot Rashica, Wilfried Ndidi, Felix Uduokhai and Amir Hadziahmetović are expected to depart, with the club also reviewing offers for João Mario.

Trabzonspor is similarly reviewing its foreign‑player list, with Norwegian left‑back Mathias Lövik among those whose future is uncertain. The club, which paid around €4 million for Lövik, is reportedly fielding offers and may consider a move for the 22‑year‑old after 17 appearances and two assists.

Both clubs aim to free foreign‑player slots and reduce wage bills as they head into pre‑season training, with Beşiktaş set to begin camp on 28 June and travel to Slovakia on 1 July, while Trabzonspor continues its squad‑building ahead of the upcoming campaign.
