Turkish community groups provide educational aid to students
Various community initiatives in Turkey are providing educational support to students ahead of the new school year.
In Erzurum, the Palandöken Kızılay branch organized a charity bazaar to provide approximately 300 students with essential school supplies, including bags, notebooks, pens, and water bottles. In addition to stationery, families were provided with blankets to prepare for the upcoming winter season. Palandöken Kızılay Branch President Muhammed İkbal Çiçek noted that the aid covers students from kindergarten through high school.
In Nazilli, the Nazilli City Council Social Assistance Group has launched the ‘Askıda Kırtasiye’ (Suspended Stationery) campaign. The initiative has already supported 65 students by providing stationery and school clothing to alleviate the financial burden on families. City Council President Osman Yalın stated that the group aims to expand the project to include academic support through volunteer-led courses, pending necessary permissions.
