Turkish competition authority fines Temu 3.7 million‑lira for inspection obstruction

The Turkish Competition Authority imposed a fine of 3,696,000 Turkish lira (about 68,600 euros) on Chinese e‑commerce platform Temu for obstructing an inspection and failing to provide requested information on time during a price‑investigation. The authority also dismissed a separate complaint alleging antitrust violations, stating that Temu holds a relatively small market share, ranking fifth among online retailers in Turkey. Earlier this year, Temu’s Istanbul office was searched, leading the company to temporarily suspend its Turkish operations before resuming in February with a locally‑based import entity.

Temu acknowledged the penalty and said it would comply with the authority’s decision while continuing its business in the Turkish market.
