Turkish Competition Authority investigates 18 agricultural firms

The Turkish Competition Authority has launched an investigation into 18 companies operating within the plant protection and plant nutrition products markets. The probe aims to determine if these entities violated the Law on the Protection of Competition through the exchange of sensitive information.

Investigators are examining whether companies shared competitive data, including product-based prices, sales volumes, target goals, payment terms, and discount rates. The authority is assessing whether such information exchange reduced strategic uncertainty among competitors, potentially leading to market coordination.

The companies under investigation include several prominent domestic and international firms, such as Adama Turkey, BASF Agricultural Solutions Turkey, FMC Turkey, and Nufarm Turkey, among others.
