Turkey's Constitutional Court reports 744,000 individual applications since 2012

The Turkish Constitutional Court (Anayasa Mahkemesi) released statistics covering the period from 23 September 2012 to 30 June 2026. During that time 744,379 individual applications were filed, of which 640,880 were resolved, giving an overall acceptance rate of 86.1 %. A total of 103,499 applications were dismissed.

In the first half of 2026 the Court received 29,605 new applications. Of those, 17,792 were decided, resulting in a 60 % acceptance rate for the period and 2,280 violation decisions concerning rights and freedoms.

Norm‑control procedures recorded 2,615 applications (572 cancellation requests and 2,043 objections). The Court resolved 516 cancellation requests and 1,956 objections.
