Turkish Cycling Federation leadership re-elected at general assembly
The Turkish Cycling Federation held its financial general assembly to review activity and financial reports for the 2024–2026 period. During the meeting, the current administration, led by President Emin Müftüoğlu, received a vote of confidence from the delegates.
The assembly met with 130 out of 207 registered delegates present, meeting the required quorum. The council elected Abdullah Albunar as chairman, Süleyman Okur as vice chairman, and Mustafa Mücahit Koç as secretary by unanimous vote.
Over the past two years, the federation organized 196 race days across 35 provinces and hosted 28 international events. A key highlight is the Konya Velodrome, which achieved international accreditation for 2025 and has hosted prestigious competitions such as the UCI Track Cycling World Cup and the European Track Cycling Championships.
Looking forward, the federation aims to expand infrastructure and club activities to all 81 provinces in Turkey, focusing on talent discovery, coach training, and sustainable sporting success.
