Turkish Daltons gang targeted in multi-province operation

Turkish authorities have conducted simultaneous operations across eight provinces targeting the criminal organization known as the “Daltonlar.” The investigation, coordinated by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, was initiated following reports that a business owner was threatened via phone calls and messages.

As a result of the operations, 15 suspects—including three minors—have been arrested, while three others, including one minor, were placed under judicial control. The investigation expanded after police analyzed evidence seized during the raids.

Separately, German security authorities are investigating potential links between the Daltons and Russian intelligence. Reports suggest that criminal networks, including Turkish-origin gangs, may be utilized by foreign intelligence services to carry out sabotage, such as arson and armed attacks, in exchange for payment. Investigations are looking into whether the group's alleged leader, Beratcan Gökdemir, who is believed to be in Russia, facilitates these connections.
