Turkish dramas expand presence in Brazilian media markets

Turkish television productions, known as dizis, continue to expand their presence in the Brazilian market through both broadcast television and streaming platforms. On Record TV, the 9 p.m. slot will remain dedicated to Turkish content following the premiere of ‘Iludida’ (Sadakatsiz) on August 25. Upcoming programming includes ‘Minha Menina’ (Kızım) and ‘Doutor Milagre’ (Mucize Doktor).

In the streaming sector, a competition for viewers has emerged following the return of the classic series ‘Fatmagül: A Força do Amor’. While Netflix scheduled the release of its two seasons for August 19, 2026, Prime Video had already surprised subscribers by adding the production to its catalog with Portuguese dubbing and subtitles. This follows the series' departure from Globoplay in late 2024.

Other industry developments include Mert Ramazan Demir entering final negotiations to star in the Ay Yapım production ‘Susuz Yaz’, and actor Onur Dilber joining the cast of the ATV production ‘Hamal’.
