Turkish educators pass away in Kumluca and Söke

Multiple educators in Turkey have passed away recently, causing mourning within local school communities.

In Kumluca, Antalya, two teachers died under different circumstances. İbrahim Gürsoy, a 44-year-old mathematics teacher at Darıyemezler Middle School, was found unresponsive in his home. Initial assessments suggest a suspected heart attack, and his body has been sent to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute for further investigation. Separately, Hanife Özdoğan Söylemez, a teacher at Kumluca Social Sciences High School, passed away in intensive care following a traffic accident near the Antalya airport.

In the Söke district of Aydın, the sudden death of Turkish language teacher Uğur Özcan from Ali Rıza Efendi Middle School has also caused significant distress. While the official condolence message from the Söke District Directorate of National Education did not specify a cause of death, the community has expressed deep shock over the loss of the long-time educator.
