Turkish food firms Altun Gıda and Golda Gıda announce major expansion moves
Altun Gıda completed a two‑stage acquisition of Seğmen Kardeşler Gıda, gaining a 71.056% voting stake and full managerial control after competition‑authority approval. The deal, valued at several hundred million Turkish lira in nominal share capital, is positioned as a strategic step toward building a globally integrated, multi‑category food ecosystem and expanding the company's packaged‑food portfolio.
Golda Gıda, a subsidiary of Bera Holding, successfully concluded its public offering, attracting demand of more than 1.77 billion TL for 760,095 orders. The IPO raised about 805 million TL, with a free‑float of 35% at a price of 9.20 TL per share. The company plans to allocate 50‑60% of the proceeds to capacity expansions and modernization of its pasta, semolina, legume and biscuit lines, while the remainder will support raw‑material sourcing and working‑capital needs, aiming to strengthen Turkey’s food industry presence in international markets.
