Turkish football clubs Adana 01 FK and Gençlerbirliği are making strategic moves ahead of the new season.

Adana 01 FK, competing in the TFF 2. Lig, has set a goal to promote to the 1. Lig. Club President Menderes Kutlu emphasized that the team is building a competitive squad through internal resources and management efforts rather than massive budgets. Kutlu noted that the club has cleared its debts from the previous season and aims for championship success after narrowly missing promotion in the last two seasons.

Meanwhile, Gençlerbirliği has strengthened its attacking line by signing Portuguese forward Pedro Mendes. The 27-year-old joins from the Italian Serie B side Modena FC on a two-year contract. Mendes, who developed in the academies of Sporting CP and Vitoria SC, brings experience from leagues in Portugal, Spain, and Italy to the Ankara-based club.
