Turkish football clubs Balıkesirspor and Karşıyaka appoint new managers

Several Turkish football clubs in the TFF 3. Lig have announced changes to their technical leadership.

Balıkesirspor has appointed Cem Kavçak as its new head coach following the departure of Polat Çetin. The decision came after a 7-1 defeat against Eskişehirspor. Club President Mert Alper Acar stated that Kavçak was chosen because he is familiar with the team's system and many of its current players, having previously managed the club during the 2025-2026 season's first half.

Karşıyaka has also appointed a new manager, Zafer Uysal, replacing Burhanettin Basatemür. Uysal, a former player for the club, takes over after the team secured only two points in the first four weeks of the season. The club noted that Basatemür and his technical staff departed by mutual agreement without any claims for compensation or severance.
