Turkish football clubs call for local business support

Local football clubs in Turkey are issuing calls for community and business support to ensure their financial sustainability.

Yıldızlıspor, based in the Akçaabat district of Trabzon, released a statement thanking current supporters while urging local businesses in the Yıldızlı neighborhood to take more responsibility. The club management emphasized that relying on the sacrifices of a few individuals for equipment and organizational expenses is unsustainable and called for the club to be embraced as a shared community value.

In Diyarbakır, Diyarbekirspor President Berat Güneş has called for balanced support between the city's two professional teams, Amedspor and Diyarbekirspor. Highlighting the club's difficult economic conditions and recent sporting struggles, Güneş noted that the team was built under significant hardship. He announced preparations for a donation campaign to secure the club's future, stating that ignoring one professional team while supporting the other would harm the city's sports culture.
