Kulüpler Birliği proposes technical upgrades for Süper Lig broadcasts
The Kulüpler Birliği Vakfı (Clubs Union Foundation) has prepared a comprehensive technical study to upgrade the broadcasting quality of the Trendyol Süper Lig for its upcoming tender period. Led by President Ertuğrul Doğan, the initiative aims to align Turkish football broadcasting with the standards of Europe’s top five football leagues to increase the league's international competitiveness and brand value.
The proposal includes several technological advancements. For high-profile matches and derbies, the study suggests using up to 25 cameras and Native 4K HDR (2160p/50) production. Other matches would follow a standard of 14 cameras with 1080p/50 HDR. To enhance the viewer experience, the plan incorporates 5.1 Surround sound technology, advanced field microphones, and high-frame-rate slow-motion cameras.
Additionally, the study addresses digital and mobile trends by proposing a 9:16 vertical broadcast model specifically for mobile devices, potentially utilizing AI-supported camera tracking. To ensure broadcast reliability, the foundation recommends redundant infrastructure using both satellite and fiber connections, supported by uninterruptible power supplies.
