Turkish Football Federation evaluates referee committee amid growing controversy

The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) is facing increasing pressure to address growing controversies surrounding the Central Referee Committee (MHK) and referee performance in the Super Lig. Following a series of disputed decisions in critical matches, clubs and the public have called for greater transparency and stability in the officiating system.

Former referees have contributed to the debate, suggesting that the issues extend beyond on-field errors to include how appointments are made and how performance is evaluated. Specifically, former referee Fırat Aydınus has previously noted calls for the resignation of MHK President Ferhat Gündoğdu.

The TFF is expected to hold meetings to determine whether to maintain the current structure or implement new regulations regarding referee management and appointments to restore public confidence in the league.
