Turkish Football Federation imposes point deductions on seven clubs

The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has announced point deduction penalties for seven clubs following the completion of the 2026-2027 club licensing process. The penalized clubs include MKE Ankaragücü, Hatayspor, Adana Demirspor, Arkent Arnavutköy Belediyesi Futbol SK, İskenderunspor, Serik Spor, and Sultan Su İnegölspor.

MKE Ankaragücü President İlhami Alparslan addressed the penalty, stating it stems from financial criteria and unresolved debts inherited from previous administrations. Alparslan clarified that the current management has fulfilled all tax and Social Security Institution (SGK) obligations and has no overdue debts to players, clubs, or personnel since taking office.

In contrast, the TFF granted national licenses to 18 other clubs across three leagues, including Eyüpspor, Gençlerbirliği, Kocaelispor, Bursaspor, and Sakaryaspor.
