Turkey's Football Federation keeps foreign player quota unchanged for 2026‑27 season
The Turkey Football Federation (TFF) confirmed that the foreign‑player quota for the 2026‑27 Trendyol Süper Lig will remain unchanged. Clubs will continue to be allowed to list up to ten foreign players without any age restriction, and if a club wishes to register up to fourteen foreigners, at least four of them must have been born on or after 1 January 2003. The federation stated, “No change will be made to the previously announced foreign‑player regulations for the 2026‑27 season.”
The announcement comes after clubs collectively demanded reforms such as a 12+2 or 12+4 system. The TFF's decision closes the debate and will shape transfer strategies for all 18 Süper Lig teams ahead of the new campaign.
