Turkish Football Federation plans European scouting network

The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) is reportedly preparing a new organizational structure to recruit Turkish players developed in Europe into national teams. Following the appointment of Sergen Yalçın as the head of the A National Football Team, the federation is working on a project to establish a comprehensive player scouting network to identify and integrate young talents of Turkish origin at an early age.

Reports suggest that former national player Yıldıray Baştürk is being considered to lead this new initiative as the European Coordinator for Youth National Teams. The plan involves a team of former national players tasked with monitoring talent and submitting reports to the federation.

Proposed regional responsibilities include:

• Mehmet Ekici: Germany • İbrahim Dağaşan: France • Oğuzhan Özyakup: Belgium and the Netherlands

The TFF has not yet made an official announcement, and the appointments are currently in the planning stages.
