Turkish football updates: Karacailyas Spor debut and Muğlaspor draw

In Turkish football, Karacailyas Spor is preparing for its debut in the Professional Transition League for the 2026-2027 season. Following their promotion from the Super Amateur League, the team is scheduled to play its first match against İskenderun 1967 on October 18.

Technical Director Önal Arıca noted that the team is adjusting to the professional level with a squad largely composed of players from Mersin. Arıca expressed a desire to compete for the top positions despite a limited transfer budget and a short turnaround time following the fixture announcement.

In the Trendyol 1. Lig, Muğlaspor drew 1-1 in an away match against Fatih Karagümrük. Muğlaspor Technical Director Yalçın Koşukavak expressed disappointment following the result, citing missed opportunities and a missed penalty. Koşukavak also criticized the officiating, specifically regarding the amount of stoppage time provided during the match.
