Turkish gaming sector expands with multiple billion-dollar companies

The Turkish mobile gaming sector is experiencing rapid global expansion, according to reports from AppMagic and Gamigion. In-game purchase revenues from Turkish developers have grown approximately 450% over the last six years, with projections suggesting they will exceed $2.76 billion by 2025. This growth has increased Turkey's share of the global mobile gaming market from 1% in 2020 to an estimated 5% in 2025.

Three companies in the sector have achieved 'Turcorn' status, meaning they have reached valuations of $1 billion or more: Peak Games, Dream Games, and Loom Games. Dream Games has recorded over $5.2 billion in in-game purchase revenue through titles like Royal Match and Royal Kingdom, while Peak Games has surpassed $3.4 billion with Toy Blast and Toon Blast. Loom Games reached a $1 billion valuation in less than a year of operation.

Investment in the sector has been substantial, totaling $3.6 billion since 2009. A record $2.5 billion investment was recorded for Dream Games in 2025. Additionally, Grand Games has emerged as a potential new Turcorn candidate, having secured $100 million in investment since its founding in January 2024.
