Turkish Gendarmerie Special Forces conduct hostage rescue drill in Tunceli

Turkey's Gendarmerie Special Forces (Jandarma Özel Harekat) carried out a hostage‑rescue drill in the eastern province of Tunceli. The exercise simulated a scenario where a suspect held a hostage, and teams practiced rapid entry, building infiltration, corridor movement, room clearing and neutralisation of the suspect.

The drill aimed to improve operational readiness, decision‑making under crisis, and coordination among the special‑operations units. No casualties were reported, and the training is part of ongoing efforts to maintain high preparedness for real‑world hostage situations.
