Turkish Handball Federation and TED sign youth athlete support protocol

The Turkish Handball Federation (THF) and the Turkish Education Association (TED) have signed the ‘Handball Torches’ cooperation protocol to support the academic and athletic development of young athletes. The agreement was finalized in Ankara by THF President Mesut Çebi and TED General President Selçuk Pehlivanoğlu.

Starting from the 2026-2027 academic year, 14 student-athletes selected by the THF will receive 100% scholarships and boarding education at TED Polatlı College. The program aims to provide a holistic approach, ensuring that training and competition schedules align with academic requirements. The school will cover essential needs, including educational materials, accommodation, and transportation.

The project is intended to last five years, with plans to expand the program by adding three to five additional students annually. THF President Mesut Çebi stated that the initiative aims to build the national team's infrastructure while providing internationally competent academic education to talented children from across Anatolia.
