Turkish helicopter ambulances transport patients to Konya for critical care
A 78‑year‑old woman from Tokat was air‑lifted by a Ministry of Health‑coordinated helicopter ambulance to Konya City Hospital for advanced oncological treatment. The patient, identified as N. K., had been receiving care at Tokat State Hospital before the transfer.
In a separate incident, a five‑month‑old infant born in Kulu district was also moved by helicopter ambulance to Konya after health complications were detected. The baby’s mother, Ayşe A., traveled by road while the child was flown directly to the provincial health directorate’s facilities.
Both cases illustrate the use of helicopter ambulances in Turkey to expedite critical medical care for patients in remote or urgent situations.
