Turkish Historical Society releases free Turkish History Dictionary app

The Turkish Historical Society (TTK) announced that its Encyclopedic Turkish History Dictionary, comprising 10,000 entries, is now available as a free mobile application. President Prof. Dr. Yüksel Özgen said the app, launched to mark the institution’s 95th anniversary, can be downloaded from major app stores and offers detailed explanations of historical terms, idioms and concepts. About 1,000 entries are currently accessible, with 5,000 already sent to authors, 2,500 written, and the remainder undergoing peer review. The Society aims to upload the full set of entries within two years, allowing future updates as new research emerges.
