Turkish industrial sector shows mixed production and investment trends

Turkish industrial players are reporting divergent trends in production and investment. Dyo Boya Fabrikaları Sanayi ve Ticaret A. Ş. reported a 22 percent decrease in factory production during the first half of 2026, with production falling from 52,263 tons to 40,844 tons compared to the previous year. Despite a 20 percent drop in sales tonnage, the company maintained its revenue through price increases, recording net sales of 4.881 billion lira. To support ongoing investments and short-term cash needs, Dyo Boya completed a 180 million lira debt issuance with a 131-day maturity.

In contrast, Saint-Gobain continues to expand its footprint in Turkey. The building materials group now operates 22 active production facilities in the country and has invested over 230 million euros in Turkey over the last five years. CEO Murat Savcı stated that the company is currently working on three new factory investments and remains open to acquisitions, noting that the global headquarters in France maintains a positive outlook on Turkey as a strategic hub for regional exports.
