Turkish Intelligence Chief Calls for Turkic World Security Cooperation

During the 28th Turkic World Intelligence Agencies Conference held in Borabay, Kazakhstan, Turkish National Intelligence Organization head İbrahim Kalın emphasized the potential of Turkic nations to contribute to regional and international stability.

Kalın called for enhanced security coordination and strategic cooperation among Turkic states, particularly in counter-terrorism efforts. He highlighted the need to develop multi-domain security frameworks to address emerging threats such as cyberattacks and artificial intelligence, while advocating for technological collaboration in defense industries.

A key priority identified was the protection of vital strategic corridors, specifically the Middle Corridor and the Zangezur Corridor, which are viewed as essential to regional security. Kalın also noted that the Turkic World aims to establish its own axis within a multipolar international system to promote peace without causing concern to other global actors.

The meeting included intelligence and security heads from Turkey, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, with representatives from Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Hungary attending as guests of honor.
