Turkish Internet Media Union meets security chief and opens new center

The Turkish Internet Media Union (TİMBİR), led by President Dr. Süleyman Basa, recently met with General Director of Security Ali Fidan in Ankara. The discussions focused on enhancing communication between media organizations and public institutions, ensuring public safety, and combating disinformation to provide the public with accurate and reliable information.

In a separate development, TİMBİR is expanding its operations with the opening of its new headquarters, the ‘Başkent Medya Merkezi’ (Capital Media Center), in Ankara. The facility is scheduled to open on October 9. The organization, which was established in 2023 and maintains a presence in 81 Turkish provinces and 25 countries, aims to use this new center to broaden its activities within the media sector.
