Turkish investments in Albania reach $3.5 billion

Turkish business investments in Albania have reached a total value of $3.5 billion, according to Serhat Kısakürek, President of the DEİK Turkey-Albania Business Council. Approximately 800 Turkish companies are currently operating within the Albanian economy.

Investment activities span several strategic sectors, including banking, energy, construction, and manufacturing. Emerging opportunities are noted in renewable energy, energy storage, transport infrastructure, tourism, real estate development, mining, and logistics. This growth is supported by Albania's strategic position in the Balkans and its progress toward European Union membership.

While the total investment is significant, the current trade volume between the two nations stands at approximately $965 million. Economic leaders have set a target to increase this bilateral trade volume to $2 billion, aiming to leverage the strong political will and historical ties between the two countries.
