Turkish journalists visit Baku memorials to deepen Turkey‑Azerbaijan ties

A delegation of 20 Turkish journalists travelled to Baku under a program titled “Peace Geography: Nagorno‑Karabakh‑South Caucasus Reconstruction, Stability and Regional Cooperation.” The visit was organized jointly by the Turkey‑Azerbaijan Friendship, Cooperation and Solidarity Foundation (TADIV) and the Intercultural Network Association.

During the trip the journalists toured the Martyrs’ Alley and the Turkish Martyrs’ Cemetery, sites commemorating those killed in the 44‑day Nagorno‑Karabakh war. TADIV board chair Aygün Attar highlighted the crucial role Turkish media played during the conflict and said the visit would strengthen the brotherly bond between the two nations. The delegation also planned to attend workshops and observe reconstruction and stability efforts in the region.

The event underscores ongoing cultural and diplomatic cooperation between Turkey and Azerbaijan, reflecting shared historical narratives and mutual support in the South Caucasus.
