Turkish Language and Literature Foundation to be established in Tabriz

Gholamali Haddad Adel, head of the Academy of Persian Language and Literature, has announced plans to establish a Foundation for Turkish Language and Literature in Tabriz. The initiative is being coordinated alongside the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution.

Speaking at the national event ‘Shahriar, Poet of the Iranian People’ hosted by the East Azerbaijan Art Bureau, Haddad Adel emphasized the historical role of Azerbaijan in the development of Persian language and Iranian culture. He highlighted the poet Shahriar as a key contemporary figure who embodied a love for both his mother tongue and the Persian language.

The planned foundation aims to support and strengthen Turkish language and literature, treating local and maternal languages as vital linguistic assets of the country.
