Turkish Lira hits new lows as Dollar, Euro, and Pound reach record highs

Major foreign exchange currencies have reached record highs against the Turkish Lira. As of September 10, 2026, the US Dollar rose to 48.49 TL, marking a new all-time high.

Other major currencies also saw significant increases. The Euro reached a historic peak of 56.57 TL, while the British Pound climbed to 65.90 TL, approaching the 66 TL threshold.

These fluctuations occur amid heightened geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and investor anticipation of upcoming US inflation data, including Producer Price Index (PPI) and Consumer Price Index (CPI) reports.
