Turkish Lira weakens as Dollar and Euro reach new highs

Currency markets in Turkey have seen upward movement, with the US Dollar and Euro reaching new levels against the Turkish Lira. In the Grand Bazaar (Kapalıçarşı) market, the Dollar was trading at a selling price of approximately 48.35 TL, while the Euro reached levels around 56.04 TL to 56.25 TL.

On a global scale, market participants are closely monitoring US economic indicators, specifically private sector employment data, which showed signs of slowing momentum. This has influenced US Treasury yields, with the 10-year yield retreating to 4.78%. Additionally, investors are weighing geopolitical risks involving the US, Israel, and Iran, alongside upcoming interest rate decisions from major central banks, including the European Central Bank and the Bank of Japan.
