Turkish literary awards announced for Eskişehir and Enez

Various literary honors and festivals are being highlighted in Turkey. In Eskişehir, author Latife Tekin has been named the recipient of the 2026 City Literature Award. The award will be presented during the International Eskişehir Yunus Emre Literature Festival, scheduled to take place from October 1–4. The festival, organized by the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality, features a selection committee of prominent literary figures and aims to bring together members of the literary world.

In the Enez district of Edirne, an award ceremony was held for the National Enez Short Story Competition. Winners Anıl Topçu and Ebru Asya received plaques for their achievements. The event also featured the launch of the book ‘Öykülerle, Anılarla Enez’, which contains 22 stories written by 20 authors. Ulaş Demiray, President of the Enez Coast Residents Solidarity Association, emphasized the importance of young generations connecting with local history and culture through reading and research.
