Turkish local leaders commemorate the Kuvayımilliye spirit

Various local authorities and organizations in Turkey are holding events to commemorate the spirit of the Kuvayımilliye and the historical struggle for independence.

In Bigadiç, local leader Türker Yılmaz highlighted the district's liberation on September 4, 1922, following the Great Offensive. He emphasized the importance of preserving the historical memory of the National Struggle and passing the values of independence and the Republic to younger generations.

In Mersin, the Yenişehir Municipality collaborated with the Tarsus Kuvayımilliye Mücahitler Association to host a cultural memory event titled ‘A Nation's Victory, A Generation's Legacy.’ Mayor Abdullah Özyiğit met with association members to discuss the significance of the August 30 Victory Day and the importance of protecting the national heritage and the spirit of resistance.
