Turkish Barem Ambalaj and BMS Birleşik Metal post six‑month financial results

Barem Ambalaj announced a temporary production halt of about three months at its paper plant in Konya Ereğli. Despite a 40.8% rise in sales to 2.6 billion TL in the first half of 2026, the company posted a net loss of 166.4 million TL, driven mainly by a deferred tax charge of 351 million TL. Its share price fell from 67.50 TL on 16 July to 30.94 TL by 28 July.

BMS Birleşik Metal reported a consolidated six‑month loss of 11.3 million TL after a 32.8 million TL loss in Q1 was offset by a 21.4 million TL profit in Q2. Revenue grew 26% to 1.5 billion TL, with gross profit up 59% to 307.5 million TL and operating profit up 35% to 55.7 million TL. Net debt fell 11% to 468.8 million TL, while equity rose 16% to 1.6 billion TL. Its shares closed at 43.94 TL, up 0.5% on the day.
