Turkish Mayors Hold Neighborhood Listening Sessions

Kayseri’s Kocasinan district mayor Ahmet Çolakbayrakdar met residents of Hoca Ahmet Yesevi, Beyazşehir and Yenişehir neighborhoods as part of a "Vatandaş Soruyor, Başkan Cevaplıyor" (Citizens Ask, Mayor Answers) program. He outlined the municipality’s wide‑ranging services – from road work and park maintenance to social projects such as the Dost Eli, Dost Market and Dost Kapısı initiatives that provide food, clothing, psychological support and meals for senior residents. Çolakbayrakdar also announced a forthcoming Kocasinan Academy building in Zümrüt Mahallesi.

In the west‑Turkey city of İnegöl, Mayor Alper Taban held a similar meeting with residents of Ertuğrulgazi neighbourhood. He listened to local concerns, promised direct municipal solutions and highlighted community activities such as a Ramadan‑era aşure distribution. Both mayors stressed a “people‑centric” approach to governance and pledged continued engagement with citizens.
